Registration Open for Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and Champaign County are sponsoring a free collection of household hazardous wastes on Saturday, April 4, 2020, from 8:00am to 3:00pm at Market Place Mall in Champaign. This event is open to all residents of Champaign County; however, residents must register online in order to participate. The online registration is available by clicking here.
Items that will be accepted include: oil-based paints, paint thinners, herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, old gasoline, pool chemicals, cleaning products, household batteries, used motor oil, lawn chemicals, antifreeze, aerosol paints, fluorescent lamp bulbs, and outdated medicines and pharmaceuticals.
