Village Continues Public Hearings on Solar Farm Proposal
October 25th, 2018 @ 7:20am
On October 24, the Fisher Planning and Zoning Commission reconvened its public hearing on a proposed special use permit for the construction of a community solar garden on agricultural property located south of Green Street and west of First Street. After hearing additional feedback from several residents and recommending certain changes to the plan documents, the Commission agreed to continue the public hearing until Monday, October 29 at 5:00pm. The Village Board will then hold its public hearing on the matter on Monday, October 29 at 6:00pm (or immediately following the conclusion of the Planning & Zoning meeting if later than 6:00pm). Both hearings will take place at the Fisher Community Center, 100 E. School Street.
These hearings will give residents additional opportunities to ask questions about the proposed project and to express any concerns they may have to our elected officials. Written comments will also be accepted and should be directed to Village Administrator Jeremy Reale by mail or email.
The plan documents are available for public inspection at the Fisher Community Center during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00am-12:00pm) or by appointment. A link to PDF file of the project plans is also included below.
Questions about the public hearing and zoning processes should be directed to Jeremy Reale at (217) 897-1180.
