Jeremy has served as the administrator and chief financial officer of the Village of Fisher since January 2015. He has nearly two decades of experience as an elected or appointed official in local government. Prior to coming to Fisher, he had served as the municipal clerk for the Village of Rantoul, Village of Thomasboro, and City of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He was also elected to the first of two non-consecutive terms as a member of the Rantoul Village Board of Trustees in 2001, becoming one of the youngest elected officials in the State of Illinois.
Jeremy is a member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), Illinois City/County Management Association (ILCMA), and the Illinois Municipal Treasurers Association (IMTA). He earned the professional designation of Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) in 2010, and is currently pursuing designation as a Certified Illinois Municipal Treasurer (CIMT). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois-Springfield, with graduate coursework in Public Administration at Governors State University.
As the administrator, Jeremy is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Village of Fisher and implementing the policies and directives established by the mayor and village board. As treasurer, he oversees the finances and investment of Village funds, including preparation of the annual budget. He also serves as the village's building inspector and zoning administrator, providing staff support to the Planning & Zoning Commission. He represents the Village of Fisher as a liaison to other local governments and business organizations, including the Fisher Area Business Association, and serves on the board of directors of Fisher Unlimited, Inc.
